Yia Yia Mary’s

1 pound unsalted butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 box 10X powder sugar
4 + 1/4 cup all purpose flour

Beat together the butter, vanilla, egg and 4 tablespoons of the powdered sugar on a medium speed for about 15 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder, which has been mixed in with 1/4 cup of the flour. Gradually add approximately 4 cups of flour until the dough can be formed without sticking. *You may need to add a little more or a little less.

Form shapes with the dough and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes on the bottom rack of the oven and then for about 7 minutes on the top rack of the oven. Remove before they brown.
Dust immediately with powdered sugar. Gradually add powdered sugar until fully covered with powdered sugar.

Thanks Tina!!
