My granny made these each and every Christmas. I do love them, they remind me of Christmas at their home. They are chewy crispy nutty goodness. I make them each and every year, I will made at least 2 or 3 batches. Try them if you have never had a date nut ball ~ I have used fresh dates and they are amazing with the fresh dates.
Date Nut Balls
1 1/2 stick butter
3/4 cups of surgar
1 package/box of dates
1 cups of chopped pecans
3 cups of rice krispies
1 box of powdered surgar
Melt butter, sugar and dates together, cooking 5 minutes. Stirring constantly. Cooking until thickened consistency and bubbling. Remove from the stove stir in nuts and rice krispies. Shape into balls while still warm. Roll into powdered sugar coating well.
I have used dried dates or fresh dates both work.

These are literally my favorite things ever! I can eat the whole batch by myself! So glad we are close to the Christmas season!
